If you’ve followed this blog for very long, you’ve probably noticed I’m a big fan of themed “charcuterie” boards (I use the term charcuterie lightly because when I make them, there is not usually a single type of cheese or cracker in sight!). Not only are they fun to make, they’re easy to customize for any holiday, they can feed a lot of people, and preparing them in advance is not a problem! Enter this super simple pink and red Valentine treat board.
Whether you’re hosting a Galentine’s party, a game night with friends, or just watching a chick flick at home, you need to try this adorable board! Sweet treats in every shade of pink and red and strawberry milk to top it off–what could be better? Here’s what I used to make my board, but any pink or red treat that you like will work perfectly!
- Package of starbursts (red colors)
- Strawberry wafers
- Strawberry marshmallows
- Trader Joe’s X’s and O’s gummy candy
- Jolly rancher jelly hearts
- Sour candy lips (I used the Jelly Belly brand)
- Strawberry milk
When arranging a board like this, I find that the best way is to start with a single type of item and add groups of it around the board, then start filling in the gaps with other treats until it’s full. The most important part is to make it look plentiful and visually appealing (at least for the couple of minutes before everyone dives in!).
